Azerbaijan, a country sandwiched between the East and the West, offers a fascinating blend of culture and history that one should not miss. You can participate in this comprehensive and fascinating tour of Baku if you intend to visit soon. You will have the chance to visit the Avenue of Martyrs, Highland Park, Maiden Tower, Shirvanshah’s Museum, and Book Museum on this tour. Our journey will conclude with a visit to the Haydar Aliyev Center (photostop).
Day 03: BAKU
During this tour, you will be able to visit Absheron Peninsula, then the Ateshgah Fire Temple, and Yanar Dag Fire Mountain. Similar to Yanar dag, natural gas evaporated from the soil and lit a fire that kept burning. It was a place of worship for both Zoroastrians and Hindus. Its origins remain unclear, but in the 7th century, people already believed in it as a holy place. In the late Middle Ages, Indian merchants built the existing structure. Mud volcanoes and petroglyphs are two most interesting things to see in Azerbaijan, located at Gobustan National Park. Gobustan National Park is a hill and mountain site occupying the southeast end of the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge in Azerbaijan, mainly in the basin of Jeyrankechmaz River, between the rivers Pirsagat and Sumgait. It is situated west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 miles southwest of the centre of Baku on the west bank of the Caspian Sea.
Day 04: BAKU
